'દૂત' વાર્ષિક સ્નેહ મિલન ૨૦૧૭

તા. ૨૬-૧૧-૨૦૧૭ ના રોજ કોમ્યુનિટી હોલ ગામડી - આણંદ ખાતે 'દૂત' નો વાર્ષિક સ્નેહ મિલન કાર્યક્રમ યોજાયો હતો જેમા શ્રી પોલ મેકવાનને (હાલ કેનેડા) વર્ષ ૨૦૧૫ના સર્વોત્તમ લેખક તરીકે અને શ્રી જેરોમ ઝિન્ટોને (અમદાવાદ) વર્ષ ૨૦૧૬ના સર્વોત્તમ સ્વયં સેવક તરીકે ફાધર એસ્પિતાર્તે રૌપ્ય ચંદ્રક અર્પણ કરવામાં આવ્યા. આ ઉપરાંત કવિ, લેખક અને સ્વયં સેવક સાથે 'દૂત' ના પ્રચાર પ્રસાર માટે વિચાર વિમર્શ કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો. આ પ્રસંગે 'દૂત'ના સંચાલકશ્રી, તંત્રી મંડળના સભ્યો અને દૂતના ચાહકો ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા.

ગઈ કાલે SOI ગ્રુપની નવી કોર ટીમની મિટિંગ સુરત ખાતે યોજાઈ.જેમાં દરેક કોર ટીમના યુવા સભ્યને અલગ અલગ જવાબદારી છોપાઈ. યુવાઓ માટે MEDIA, MUSIC, DANCING, WRITING, SPORT'S જેવા ક્ષેત્રોની અંદર ગ્રુપ દ્વારા વિવિધ પ્રવૃતિઓ નક્કી થઈ જ્યારે જરૂરિયાતમંદ બાળકો માટે ચાલતી પ્રવૃતિઓ જે પ્રમાણે ચાલે છે એને વધારે મહત્વ અપાશે.આદિવાસી યુવાઓ પોતાનામાં રહેલી આવડતો અને ટેલેન્ટ ને બહાર લાવે એ માટે SOI એક પ્લેટફોર્મ પૂરૂ પાડવા જઇ રહ્યું છે.જે માટે આજે સાંજ થી ઇચ્છુક યુવાઓ SOI દવારા લોન્ચ થનાર નંબર પર રેજીસ્ટ્રેશન કરાવી શકશે.

અવસાન નોંઘ
રેવ. ફાધર જ્યોર્જ છગનનું અવસાન આજે તા. ૧૮-૧૧-૨૦૧૭ ના રોજ ઝરોલીમાં (વાપી) થયું છે. તેમનો જન્મ તા ૨૩-૦૪-૧૯૨૦ માં થયો હતો અને તેમને પુરોહિત દીક્ષા તા.૦૫-૧૨-૧૯૫૩માં મળી હતી તેઓ ૯૮ વર્ષીય ગુજરાતી મિશનરી હતા. સદ્દગતની દફનવિધિ આજે સાંજે ૫ કલાકે કેથોલિક ચર્ચ - ઝરોલીમાં રાખવામાં આવેલ છે

Rev. Fr. George Chhagan died today morning (18-11-2017) in Zaroli near Vapi. He was 98 years old and a great Gujarati Missionary. The funeral service will be held at Catholic Church, Zaroli at 5:00 pm today.

May his soul rest in peace.

We are sad to inform you that Fr. Lawrence Lobo SJ (GUJ) 79 years old / 56 years in the Society of Jesus, passed away on 18 October, 2017 around 06.30 AM in Lady Pillar Hospital, Vadodara, Gujarat.

Funeral will be held on Friday, 20 October, at 11.00 AM in Rosary Cathedral, Vadodara.

Snehalaya is awarded the State Award for Best Practices for Children.

Snehalaya - Baroda

This morning at Gandhinagar in Gujarat our Salesian Priest Fr. George Miranda who is the Director of our Institution called Snehalaya which ministers to the YOUNG AT RISK, along with his Staff, received the State Award for Best Practices for Children from the Ministry of Social Justice. The cabinet minster of social justice gave the award.

CONGRATS to Fr. George Miranda and his team. It is indeed an acknowledgment of his leadership and a proof of the relevance and authenticity of the Salesian System of Education.

He and his team have done Don Bosco and all of us proud. I'm sure the children and youth under his care are in safe and nurturing hands.

It is great that the government recognises and acknowledges this Missionary run venture.

Fr. George Miranda is a Priest from the Salesians of Don Bosco, Province of Mumbai.
