Religious tribal fair in Zankhvav

In Gujarat there are many places where people celebrate Medo (fair).One of them is Zankhvav in South Gujarat.

Yesterday the Christian tribals of South Gujarat gathered to thank Mother Mary for all grace towards them. People around 1500 gathered to celebrate the beautiful thanks giving fair. The spectacular event of the fair is that everyone comes with a coconut and offers it to Mother Mary as the symbol of thanksgiving. The parish priest of Zankhvav Church also organized grand mass celebration wherein all Christian tribals participated in it with faith towards church. The Zankhvav fair is the example of Christian unity and sharing of joy and love.

This is an awe-inspiring religious tribal fair which is every year celebrated on 2nd February the feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple.
