A Journey Of 50 Years_Bro.Paul Macwan S.J.

 Right from his schooling he was inspired by Jesuits and joined the novitiate at Vinayalaya, Mumbai after his studies, (on 30-July-1961).  Soon after his novitiate he was sent to De Nobili College, Pune where for 15 long years he held several  offices including the job of minister. to serve the Refugees of Cambodia and Vietnam was his next mission. Bro. Paul Macwan SJ received a letter of merit from the UN High Commission and Fr. Aruppe, General Of The Society Of Jesus for his laudable work.

After coming back to his province Gujarat, India, For seven years he worked as treasurer, farm minister, in-charge of social work and secretary of the Adivasi Samajik Kendra Dediapada,Relva and Nani Sigloti in South Gujarat,India.

He collaborated with Rev.Fr. Berethi Sj in starting the first educational project in South Gujarat. He also helped out in the management of the milk cooperative society in Dediapada.   
  
Bro. Paul was also sent to Ethopia as Field Director Of JRS. He also received a letter of appreciation from the Ministry Of  Health of the Ethopian Government.. After coming back he did he tertianship he was in Khambhat as administrator and treasure and the director of Agriculture projects. Bro. Paul also constructed schools. hostels, residences and churches in several mission stations. He was called to Premal Jyoti, Ahmedabad. to work in the Province Curia.

Bro. Paul is person for everybody.He makes friends easily and his friendships last long. He is good at accounts. He is creative

Bro. Paul is also known for writing Gujarati Plays. Before Joining the Society he had written a Play which was staged at the Town Hall in Baroda City, Gujarat.
