Matruchhaya orphanage is
in real sense a mother to its children. As per its name it proves itself true
by providing shelter, refuge and rehabilitation for the orphane, destitute and
abandoned children. The child that comes to Matruchhaya is always welcomed any
time of the day. We celebrate all the festival irrespective of all the
religion. Children get to know the importance of the festivals and develop a
positive understanding towards that historical moment. Matruchhaya is not just
an orphanage but a family which has many friends and benefactors that help us
out in all our undertaking.
Just like every year this
year too Matruchhaya celebrated children’s day. 28th December is
remarkable day for Matruchhaya children, staff and sisters. It was a day of
joy, togetherness and celebration. Children were excited and enthuse for the
day’s happening. In the morning children were greeted with surprise gifts to
each of them. They were very happy to receive gifts individually. They had
delicious meal in the noon followed by other activities like games and dance.
In
the evening we had Holy Eucharistic celebration. Fr. Louis S.J celebrated the
mass and delivered a meaningful homily about family and its importance. There
was cutting of the cake by all the children which was followed by Dinner and
Garba party. All the staff and friends of Matruchhaya were invited for the
same. We were so delighted to see many people gathered for this family
function. It was indeed a beautiful and meaningful celebration which strengthened
our spirit of togetherness and brought us all together as one family. We could
see the happy faces of our children and they enjoyed to the maximum.
We
want to thank all the friends of Matruchhaya. They are our strong support and
help at all times. Hats off to you all dear friends and benefactors of
Matruchhaya for being always there in our noble task. May you be blest today
